Jacob Steinbach

Jacob joined TCE & Associates, Inc. in 2003 and is an Associate Principal at the firm. Jacob is involved in designing repairs and restoration for industrial, commercial, garages, and high- rise buildings such as large hotels, condominiums, apartment, and office buildings, made of structural steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete, and masonry. Duties involve structural analysis and design, investigation, and evaluation of existing structures.

Jacob has surveyed and designed repairs for thousands of square feet of garage, balconies, and facade. His specifications have included repair for chloride induced corrosion damage; crack and expansion joint repairs; polymer, latex, and epoxy modified concrete overlays and patches; multiple types of waterproofing coatings
and water resistant silane-siloxane sealants; and corrosion protection systems.
Jacob has been involved with many methods of investigation into the causes of concrete deteriorations such as sounding, petrographic, linear polarization, and chemical analysis. Jacob has also designed repairs, restorations, and renovations for numerous building envelopes. His repairs have included roofing, masonry
facades, waterproofing, expansion joints’ repair, balcony and exterior concrete repairs, and corrosion induced concrete damage repairs. In addition to the repairs and restorations, he has performed numerous condition surveys for the determination of repairs, including cost estimating. Additionally, Jacob has extensive experience with roof condition surveys and roof replacement. He has written specifications and managed projects for roof replacement using many differing materials including PVC, KEE, modified bitumen, and hot rubberized asphalt.
